No cookies, no third-party trackers

This website does not set cookies, does not use advertising services or third-party analytics services and does not load content from third-party servers. The fonts are stored on the website’s own server.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted on a server (VPS) of Hostinger International Limited, 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The host provides the website technically and processes server log data (e.g. IP addresses) on my behalf as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Server location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany (EU). When you visit this website, the server processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested and browser information. This is necessary for the secure operation of the website (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). These logs are stored with a shortened IP address (last part set to zero) and deleted automatically after 14 days.

Visitor statistics

For visitor statistics I use self-hosted open-source statistics software (Umami), which runs on my own server in Frankfurt am Main. It does not set cookies, and no data is passed on to third parties. The IP address is not stored; it is used only momentarily to determine the country or region. The following is recorded: page viewed, referring website or campaign parameters, device type, browser, operating system, country or region and time of the visit. This information is evaluated only as aggregated statistics. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is understanding how the website is used.

Contact by email

If you send me an email, I process your details and any attached documents in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to handle a quotation or an order (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). I do not share this data with third parties, apart from the email provider that hosts the mailbox and where required by law (e.g. electronic invoicing via the Sistema di Interscambio of the Italian tax authority and my tax adviser in the case of an order). Enquiries that do not lead to an order are deleted no later than 6 months after the last contact. If an order is placed, the statutory retention periods, in particular those under tax law, apply to the related documents.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, write to info@ciaola.tech. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
